Undefeated minor premiers, Cessnock United was beaten in the major semi-final but gained revenge against Raymond Terrace in the close and exciting grand final.
Hudson was lucky enough to score the only goal of the game, but undeniably all team members played their part brilliantly all game.
The backs Eli, Samuel, Josh, Michael and Kris defended strongly all game. Sam had his usual great game in goals.
The forwards Kody, Emily, Slayde, Fynn and Angus pushed forward every chance they got.
The mid-fields Rich, Hudson and Nick worked tirelessly and reaped the rewards.
Coach Al Smith said he has enjoyed being involved with this excellent group of kids and was certainly proud of their achievement, one the team will treasure for a long time.
The team was well represented at the recent Cessnock United Football Club presentation day, taking out best defending team, best attacking team, best goal averages and also coach of the year.
