The work included the installation of a pedestrian refuge on Lang Street (between Mitchell Avenue and Merthyr Street) and landscaped gardens provided on each side of the road.
Improvements were made to the existing parking area, including resurfacing the road shoulders and installing line marking to provide 90-degree angle parking spaces.
A loading bay was provided near the pedestrian refuge to improve access for nearby businesses.
Work started in May this year and was completed in July.
The NSW Government provided $200,000 in its 2016/17 budget for the project, which was completed by Roads and Maritime Services.
RMS thanked the community for its patience while the works were carried out.
